I spent two years working at the very busy Passport Office in Jaipur. This ignited a passion in me for travel: all the possibilities of exploring the world via this little book, which gave people access to virtually anywhere they wished to go.
Having been born and brought up in the jungle town of Ranthambhore, I have had the privilege of meeting and accompanying many Indian and foreign guests on their hunt for tigers, usually as part of a first Golden Triangle trip to India.
Supporting tourists in navigating India and allaying any worries and ironing out any problems and obstacles was a big part of my job and I took the responsibility of making all guests feel at home, safe and happy.
I have recently branched out to guide independent tours of UK guests, arranging the entire itinerary for small groups, including driver, airport meet and greets, hotels, site specific guides and unique experiences, tailor made for the wishes of individuals. This has included Agra, Delhi and Jaipur, as well as my hometown of Ranthambhore.
I am driven by the desire to open up my beautiful country to those seeing it with new eyes, as well as helping to discover new experiences and gems for those already captivated by Incredible India. It’s my India – but your way.
Let me show you some of the enchanting things India has to offer.

Ailsa Chapman

My first love was education and I have spent my whole career teaching and managing in primary schools , specialising in the Early Years. Young children are pure magic; they live in the moment and notice everything. Luckily, I have a career which offers me regular holidays and the opportunities to travel the world and experience a different kind of magic – seeing how other people live.

India has been a mythical place for me all my life. My father lived there for seven years and loved both the country and its people. He had a life long affection for this exotic, vast land: the biggest contrast to his beloved England. His tales of the places he visited, the food he ate, the language he learned and the sights he saw brought India alive to this very English girl and sowed a seed in me that yearned to visit.

It took me three decades of umming and ahhing to actually get to India and I only wish I had done this years ago. Hence, the creation of ‘Chai Rose Travels’ – an opportunity for me to share my love of travel and education; supporting other people to visit this incredible country and experience all it has to offer, whilst hopefully negating any trepidation that potential visitors may feel. People held my hand when I visited India; now I want to do the same for others.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.Travel has always been in my blood. I grew up in Singapore and at the age of 11 I moved to Washington DC, where I attended High School and even became a cheerleader. At 16, I moved back to London and had itchy feet to see the world, until I was old enough to branch out on my own.
My career in travel started in France as a chalet girl and then I worked for an airline in the Middle East, then moving to Portugal and then Madeira, as a travel rep. I worked for Eurostar in London from Waterloo, speaking French and English. In the years that followed, I worked as cabin crew for various airlines before settling down to have a family.
Travel is my first love and I continue to explore the world with my family.
Last year I had the privilege of visiting India as a tourist rather than in a work capacity. Like Ailsa, I fell in love with the country, the people, the art and the culture.
I would love to share my experiences with you and I do encourage you to explore this wonderful land.
